Patricia Meyers Arguing Before the South Dakota Supreme Court

On Wednesday, May 24, 2006, Patricia Meyers will be arguing before the South Dakota Supreme Court in Pierre, South Dakota regarding a child custody case titled "Lori A. Roberts, f/n/a Lori A. Schreiner v. Mark S. Schreiner." Facts: Mark and Lori had a joint parenting plan upon divorce. Lori remarried and desired to relocate from Rapid City to Pierre. Lori moved the trial court for custody of the minor child and to relocate the minor child to Pierre with her and her husband. Issues on appeal: whether the trial court should have permitted Lori to remove the minor child from a Rapid City residence to a Pierre residence and whether the trial court should have awarded primary physical custody of the minor child to Lori.
